Mumbai, Nov 03: Some addresses become part of a brand's story and for 14°41° Pizzeria, Fort is one of them. Returning to the neighbourhood where Mumbai first came to know the brand, 14°41° Pizzeria opened its new flagship restaurant near Hutatma Chowk on 26 October 2026, marking a new chapter in its journey with the city.
After a decade in Fort, the brand had closed its earlier outlet in the area to make way for a new flagship at a heritage address. Spanning approximately 2,000 sq. ft. and seating 60–70 guests, the restaurant brought the brand's signature Italian experience into a thoughtfully reimagined space, retaining its focus on craftsmanship, quality ingredients and the pleasure of watching pizza being made.
At the heart of the space is a fully glazed kitchen that placed the art of pizza-making in full view. Diners watching as hand-stretched dough was topped, prepared and placed into the wood-fired oven, distinguished by its green-tiled dome and the 14°41° name emblazoned on its face. The experience made the craft behind every pizza as much a part of the meal as the final plate.
Krishna Gupta, Founder, 14°41° Pizzeria said,
"Fort is the address most of Mumbai knows us by, so this is not just a new restaurant for us. It is a homecoming. The name came from my trip to Naples and an obsession we never shook off. Every 14°41° Pizzeria kitchen uses the same 00 soft wheat flour, made exclusively for us. Fort is where you can watch it happen, and where our new dishes appear first."
Founded in 2015, 14°41° Pizzeria was built around a desire to bring the traditions and craftsmanship of Italian pizza to Mumbai. Its approach centered on the details that shape a great pizza, from the flour and fermentation to the ingredients and the intense heat of a wood-fired oven.
Every pizza began with Extraordinary flour, a custom-formulated soft wheat 00 flour developed by Italian Master Chef Renato Viola, creator of the Louis XIII pizza, and milled in Italy by Agugiaro & Figna exclusively for 14°41° Pizzeria. The dough rested for 24 hours before being stretched by hand, topped with San Marzano tomato sauce and baked in a wood-fired oven.
"A great pizza is decided long before it reaches the oven," said Chef Renato Viola, who curates the 14°41° menu. "We created Extraordinary flour so that every 14°41° dough starts from the same place. In Fort, guests can see the patience that goes into it and then taste it."
A New Chapter for the Fort Table
The flagship introduced new dishes, with select Italian delicacies making their debut at Fort before being introduced at other 14°41° Pizzeria outlets. Complementing the food menu was an all-day coffee offering that brought together Italian classics and Indian favourites, extending the restaurant's appeal beyond lunch and dinner.
With an indicative spend of ₹1,500–₹2,000 for two, the Fort flagship brought together the brand's emphasis on ingredient-led cooking, a transparent kitchen and an accessible premium dining experience.
Under the campaign thought "Back in Fort, the way it should be!", the launch celebrated a return to familiar ground while looking ahead to what comes next for the brand. For loyal patrons, it was an opportunity to reconnect with a familiar name in a new setting; for a new generation of diners, it was an invitation to discover the craft behind every pizza.
The new 14°41° Pizzeria Fort flagship opened to diners on 26 October 2026 near Hutatma Chowk, Fort, Mumbai.
