New Delhi, Aug 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Kyrgyzstan is expected to give fresh impetus to India-Kyrgyzstan relations, particularly in trade, investment and business cooperation.

Kyrgyzstan’s Investment Minister has expressed confidence that the visit will help take bilateral ties to a new level and create greater opportunities for economic engagement between the two countries.
PM Modi is visiting Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic from August 29 to September 1. Following his state visit to Uzbekistan, he will travel to Bishkek to attend the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit on August 31 and September 1.
The Kyrgyzstan visit is expected to strengthen cooperation in areas including trade, investment, connectivity, education, healthcare and other emerging sectors. It could also encourage greater interaction between businesses, investors and government institutions from both countries.
Kyrgyzstan views India as an important economic partner and is seeking to attract greater Indian investment, technology and expertise. Stronger business-to-business engagement could help expand commercial ties and create new avenues for long-term investment.
The visit also comes as India continues to deepen its economic and strategic engagement with Central Asia. Greater connectivity and investment cooperation are emerging as key areas of focus in India's regional outreach.
PM Modi’s participation in the SCO Summit will provide an additional platform for discussions on regional cooperation, connectivity and economic opportunities, alongside bilateral engagements with leaders of member countries.
For India and Kyrgyzstan, the visit is expected to translate longstanding diplomatic relations into stronger economic partnerships. Increased investment and business cooperation could benefit Indian companies exploring the Central Asian market while supporting Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to attract capital, technology and expertise.
